Jonathan Kramer is the founding member of Peak Island Builders. He started young in 2001 as a field laborer during the summer months between high school & college for his father’s development and construction company in Queens. There he started from the bottom doing general maintenance and cleanup of jobsites, painting, driving trucks, & off-loading material for new construction multi-family homes and mixed-use rental complexes.
After college, he began his professional career as a realtor focusing on new development condominium sales and rentals in Queens & Brooklyn. After seeing his family’s development & construction progress he decided to go back to school to pursue a Masters Degree in Construction Management from NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate. It was there he learned the great baseline of building in New York City.
He was fortunate enough to intern at prestigious companies like Bronx Botanical Garden where he helped build a new 720-spot parking garage and an interior contracting company focusing on high-end residential for celebrity clientele in the West Village.
After graduation he expanded his career into the Luxury Retail sector working his way up to Assistant Project Manager & Assistant Superintendent for a reputable construction firm for which he oversaw projects such as Sephora, Burberry, Apple, Christian Dior, & SAKS Fifth Avenue.
But his experience did not stop there. He worked his way up to Project Manager for a large scale NYC unionized General Contractor focusing on public works such as School Construction Authority and Metropolitan Transit Authority where he worked in new construction schools and train stations/hub centers.
After Jonathan gained all these unique experiences he decided to go back to work as a Development Associate & Construction Project Manger for his father’s company in 2015.
It was there where he gained the most hands-on experience for doing what he truly loves to do: building & selling luxury private residential homes and condominiums. He acted as both Development Manager and Lead Sales Broker for multi-unit new development condominiums in Brooklyn as well as single-family homes in Long Island.
Finally in 2022 he decided to branch out and open Peak Island Builders focusing on single-family home building in Nassau County. Today he works in collaboration with the most professional architects, engineers, designers, and subcontractors to achieve an unsurpassed level of client service.
He is a proud husband and father to two young and smart energetic boys and lives in Port Washington, NY with his family.
